Tell us about something that you firmly believe is unlikely, impossible, or untrue, yet you find yourself paranoid of it anyway. Be descriptive.... you might find that you're not alone. :)
(I'll post mine later so as to not sway the crowd. :)
Hm... I had a whole list but decided to just pick one. So here it is:
Not closing doors or drawers before you go to sleep at night is bad. And by bad, I mean that you feel a sense of impending doom that fills you with dread and anxiety; where you feel unsafe and vulnerable - like you're going to be attacked by the unknown or the boogie-man. I'll actually get up in the middle of the night and close a door becuase it bugs the hell out of me if I forget to do this. I blame horror movies and a militant father who had a thing for cleanliness.
Truthfully? It's silly. The front door is locked so why should the bathroom or bedroom door closed matter?
Awww! That's so cute! :)
I totally get where you're coming from... I feel this way about dark rooms... like if I walk into a pitch black room some boogieman is gonna come jumping out to eat me or something. LOL :)

I used to think that various three-letter agencies were out to get me.
Then it turned out they actually were, and I felt better.
Does that count?
hacking into the computers of three-letter agencies tends to have that effect :P
when i leave my apartment, i double-check (of course) to make sure i have my keys (i can close my door without using them, and the door will self-lock on its own) -- but even though i'm staring at the keys in my big hand, i hesitate to shut the door closed, afraid i won't be able to get back in.
i feel it is an auto da fe (act of faith) closing the door and walking away.
haha :) There are things I feel that way about also... like... you have to force yourself to trust that it's going to just work and ignore that nagging part of you that says the world is going to end because of it :P
Milk. Although I find it unlikely that the manufacturer lies and puts a date on the carton that isn't true, I simply refuse to believe that the "purchase by" date is not actually an "expiration date" and hence won't drink the stuff if the date has passed.
