I finally think it's subsiding. 5 days of feeling like shit... 3 of it at 102 degrees. It finally broke yesterday when, after deciding my body needed to be allowed to have it's fever for a while, I'd had enough of misery for the day and took a tylenol. Maybe the virus had run it's course... maybe letting the fever burn was good... but it hasn't really come back. A few cold sweats in bed and serious difficulty getting to sleep at all (but it WAS a warm night).
At this point I'm happy to realize that I just might feel like actually eating something this morning. My throat hurts like fire, but that's just the caughing, and probably has as much to do with the fact that I haven't smoked in 4 days as it does the sickness, though a part of me wonders if I got an opportunistic variant of strept in the meantime.
I'm so sick of Buffy, CSI, and Sex in the City that I could scream. Those are pretty much all I've been watching for the past week, and when Austin was sick and I was keeping him company the week prior.
I hope I get at least a touch of weekend... I'm very much in for the taking it easy approach, but getting up the gumption to go out and walk around for a while would be nice.
