I will hand it to you, the concept of intelligent design logically cannot be used for classroom teaching, for the sole fact that it is largely faith-based, and not able to be empirically tested; hence the potential belief in the flying spaghetti monster, but at the same time, (this coming from someone who has been on both sides of the religious spectrum) you can't accuse a general population of shoving anything down your throat, because as with any group of people in our society its always the few radical wackos that give everyone else a bad name. There are the loud, obnoxious pushy gay people who create the stereotype for us that society has trouble accepting. There are the fundamental christians who say one thing and do another. There are wacko liberal Lower Haight Vegans who want the entire world to be run by animals while they sit around smoking pot. There are extremes everywhere, and those tend to be loudest - its best to realize that most people don't feel the same way about something, and the media tends to generalize everyone into the more controversial characters of their group.

I couldn't possibly agree more. In fact, there is an inherent contradiction in even this situation, in that we are (or perhaps "I am") demanding that people not cram things down our (my) throat(s), and cramming that down other people's throats. Fun, eh? :)

I also agree though that it's the minority that makes the majority look bad. Look at Johnny Fabulous (or whatever that uber lame ass fag that did Anna Nicole's decorating was)... I'm embarrased to share my species with him. I think thought that the best way to fight an extreme is to use a comparable, yet completely fictitious extreme to demonstrate just how insane the first extreme is. Again, I have no problem with christians believing whatever they want, and in fact, I'm not trying to make fun of anyone's religious beliefs... but when it comes to what's taught in school, the FSM theory has as much basis in scientific fact as intelligent design. I'll even acknowledge that it could very well be correct... but I have no proof of that, either way.

Overall, this whole thing is just funny. :)

Happy Holidays ;)

Very true. And his name was Bobby Trendy. I've met him and he's scary. My friend made out with him on Haunted Mansion during Gay Days at Disneyland. Fun huh? hahaha
